Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 developer Crackshell has released a second patch for the roguelike action RPG just a few days after its first update since release. Heroes of Hammerwatch 2’s first patch deployed Build 115 on January 15, fixing a wide array of niche issues and supplying added features and adjustments based on player feedback. The team also highlighted they were working on fixing more serious bugs as soon as possible, but the first patch was designed to fix some of the simpler things first.

Posted on the game’s Steam page, Heroes of Hammerwatch 2’s second patch welcomed Build 117 and welcomed a handful of new features, including adding the player level to the multiplayer HUD element, adding missing combo descriptions to the library menu, and added confirm prompts when exiting a game. Several bugs were also fixed, including issues where clients could take a trinket meant for the host and the Thunderbird giving damage when players spawned. It’s relatively simple to unlock all the characters in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2, and another bug fixes an issue where a multiplier client could create a character based on what classes were unlocked by the host.

Despite being the main location of the game, the Dark Citadel can only be unlocked later in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2’s gameplay, but once open, no two runs progress the same to keep gameplay fresh, and each completed expedition aids the upgrade of players’ towns, gear, and characters.
